About Bonnie and Sam books
The Bonnie and Sam books are written by Alison Lester. Lots of the horses in the Bonnie and Sam books are based on real-life horses Alison has met. You might have read some of Alison's other books, like Quicksand Pony and the picture books Are We There Yet? and Magic Beach. The illustrations in the Bonnie and Sam books are by Roland Harvey. Look at them carefully, because there are lots of little details hidden in them. Roland has illustrated many other books, including At the Beach and In the Bush. You can read more about Roland on the Author and Illustrator page.
