Shadow

ShadowA brumby mare who’s never had a foal. She looks identical to Drover, except when she first appears she’s more flea-bitten, with a scruffy mane and tail.

Shadow is a nervous wreck, afraid of everything, and wishes she didn’t have to live in the bush. She’s scared of everything - a tree branch breaking, a lightning flash, a rock falling. The brumbies live in Wild Dog Range, the mountains behind Currawong Creek. They are a small mob, maybe eight horses: a stallion, three mares with foals and Shadow.
